Shigaraki Tsubo (Vessel)

HK$53,500

Crafted from Shigaraki clay (known locally as Gaerome clay) and woodfired in a traditional anagama kiln, this Shigaraki Tsubo (vessel) is a truly exceptional work.

During the intense firing process, feldspar particles within the clay melt and rise to the surface, creating distinctive, glassy textures. These are beautifully interwoven with natural ash deposits and a dry, weathered surface, resulting in a piece rich in rustic elegance and profound timelessness.
