This pair of teacups are made using “Dami”, a hand-painting technique using a large brush. Its textures accentuated with tonal gradations, creating charming, wavy patterns that contrast nicely with the colour of tea. This pair consists of Gosu’s signature blue shades 2.0 & 4.0. Made by the dedicated craftsmen of Soekyu Gosu from Yoshida, Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture.

Gosu is a brand produced by Soekyu Seitosho, a manufacturer of Hizen Yoshida ware. By applying a traditional painting technique called "dami" they express five shades of Gosu blue.
由肥前吉田燒瓷器製造商Soekyu Seitosho生產的品牌。通過應用稱為“ Dami”的傳統繪畫技術，他們可以表現出五種不同深淺的Gosu藍色。

Gosu
A cobalt blue glaze containing cobalt oxide pigments. Gosu itself is a blackish mineral, but after reduction firing, the colour changes to blue. Currently, it is difficult to obtain natural Gosu. Therefore, a compound that mixes cobalt and iron are being used prevalently.
鈷藍釉，含有氧化鈷的顏料。Gosu本身是一種黑色礦物，但經過還原燒成後，顏色變為藍色。目前很難獲得天然的Gosu。因此，普遍使用混合鈷和鐵的化合物。
